PD Place™ has the built-in ability to specify what anonymous users can and can’t view when browsing the site. The Preferences section will allow you to select a start page that an anonymous user will be taken to upon viewing your PD Place site, and will also allow you to specify which pages these users may or may not have access to. You may also provide a link for them to sign up for their own account in PD Place.
If there are in-services that you wish to hide from public users, you can specify this in the preferences as well. This means that if you specify an in-service as ‘private’ you can essentially hide this from any public user browsing your site. Otherwise, if you wish, anonymous users can potentially view all in-services that you are offering, and read about them from your site. You can even have resources such as books, websites or other course materials linked to your in-services, and, if you so choose, have them available for the public to view.
You may also permit anonymous users to access your PD Place calendar to view upcoming training sessions.
This is just another example of how flexible PD Place can be! For more details, contact pdplace-support@coresolutions.ca.
