All work and no play…
Can make your business a pretty dull place.
Planning social gatherings for your employees outside of work is one of the best ways to encourage a healthy work environment where team morale can thrive. If your organization hasn’t done an outing in a while, consider planning an office event and lock it in the company calendar!
It’s been a trend for employers to organize social activities outside the workplace for employees and their families, as these events can serve a number of functions for a company. For one, they provide a way for employees to get to know one another outside of the work environment. That’s a plus for your company because the better your employees know one another, the more productive they’ll be in the workplace. In addition, social events convey a sense of family, a connectedness that can cement the bond your employees have with you and your company.
Really, who else but your fellow employees would you want wheelbarrowing you across a park?
CoreSolutions had their first (and what we hope will be yearly) Summer Barbecue this past weekend. Despite the hot and humid weather, the team participated in an Amazing Race. We had three teams compete in activities like a wheelbarrow race, an obstacle course, and a golf ball race. The race ended with teams dressing up a member in a roll of toilet paper and using a bag of accessories to make them look, well, you’ll see…
Fun was had by all and the Barbecue was a fantastic way to get to know everyone a little better. Want to see more photos from the day? Check us out on Facebook to view the album.
Stay tuned for our next company event, the Annual Holiday Party!
