ContinuED has been steadily evolving since last summer – Version 2.3 is in its final development stages and will be released this summer. In the meantime, I’ve been steadily going through 2.2.2 and polishing up some of the existing features.
One of the requests that I’ve worked on recently involves the attendance registers. For those of you who don’t know, ContinuED can create several different types of attendance or self-study registers. In ContinuED 2.1, these registers would support a maximum of 40 sessions. It was asked if a register extension page could be made available to record those classes with more than 40 sessions. With some tweaking, extensions pages are now available for the Adult Non-Credit Language Training and Attendance register. These extension pages allow you to record up to 195 sessions with relative ease. If there’s a need for more, please let us know.
Another related request that came in was how to filter out student types that show up on the registers. Under Preference Class, there is a preference named “ignore student type on register;” this preference can be set to hide specific students types from appearing on the attendance registers.
