HELP ME!

Estimated Time To Read This: 2 minutes

Have you ever been in that most undesirable situation where you want to do something, know it’s possible, but have no idea on how to proceed?

Fear not, both ContinuED and PDPlace have an extensive help system that will show you the path you need to take to accomplish your goal.   In PDPlace, the help system can be accessed by using the rightmost tab in the upper left navigation bar.   In ContinuED, it is the second last tab, again in the upper left navigation bar.

Upon arriving in the help system, you will have several options presented to you.  Depending on your security level or role, you will only see those manuals to which you have sufficient access.  Choose one – a new window will appear.  In this new window, you will be shown a page with the current copyright information for the selected product, as well as a table of contents tab, an index tab and a search tab.

The table of contents tab displays all the logical organization of the selected manual (usually by sections).   Clicking on a section brings you to the first page of that section.  In the upper right hand corner, there are navigation arrows to browser to the next or previous page.

The index tab shows you a breakdown of the individual topics presented in this manual.  If you are looking for a specific task, here is the place to find it.

The last tab is search and it allows you to perform a keyword search upon the complete contents of the manual.   After a search is complete, the search results will appear in the page on the right.

All of these options are really simple to use.

Hope this helps,

Mark Phipps
