We’re pleased to announce the release of PD Place™ version 3.8 is now available! Our team has been hard at work since the last release, making some incredible enhancements to PD Place. (Thanks team!) I also can’t forget to thank our insightful users who help drive the direction of the software with their feedback and suggestions; we hope you will like what you see!
Here is an overview of some of the major enhancements:
A new look: The PD Place logo had a makeover this year and you can now find it in version 3.8. You’ll also notice the main banner and footer have undergone a makeover too! Check out the screen shot below. Lookin’ good!
Budget Tracking: Tracking expenditures is nothing new to PD Place; however, you now have the ability to track these expenditures against budgets within the system for External Training and In-Services. This provides you with important financial data for your Professional Development program expenditures.
External Training: This feature has been greatly improved allowing for significant customization. You can now tailor the approval process (or have no approval required), set up approval groups, and even customize what information is required for the user to enter in their request.
Internal Conferences: This feature has been enhanced, now accommodating waiting lists for sessions. You can also set a minimum number of sessions for attendees, and registered attendees can easily print off the sessions for which they’ve signed up. You also have access to a number of new reports for the conference feature as well.
Credits and Clock hours: With Version 3.8, PD Place gives you the ability to assign different types of credits or clock hours to in-services. This allows you greater flexibility in tracking credits or hours for your staff.
The Shopping Cart: A new preference allows you to enable a “shopping cart” for event registration. Staff can add events to their shopping cart then decide if they want to register for all or just some of the events.
