This past week I held a PD Place training session over the web for a new customer. About mid-way through the training, one of the attendees took it upon herself to practice what she was learning and apply it. Suddenly our PD Place training site was changed to a brilliant orange colour with customized labels. I stopped to commend her, as well as laugh since it wasn’t expected that she do this during the training session. But, it demonstrated the capability that PD Place has built right within it to customize the software according to your organization’s needs. And, the fact that a customer could do this during a training session demonstrates how easy it is to do!
PD Place comes with over 250 different preferences, sub-divided into several sections in the software. Your organization can take advantage of all of this!
Having so many preferences has several advantages. To name a couple, much of the wording on the screens can be changed to suit your organization’s terminology. This minimizes confusion and allows for PD Place to be a natural fit. You also have the capability to turn features on and off, minimizing any extra information on the screen. This makes the software simple enough for your employees to use, but comprehensive enough for them to perform their usual tasks.
