“Let us strive to improve ourselves, for we cannot remain stationary; one either progresses or retrogrades.”
Mme. Du Deffand
Wise words indeed from a lady who died over 230 years ago. Some things never change.
To get better or even to stay the best means continually improving oneself. This is the same in life as it is in work.
Speaking of work…
We have a team of FileMaker developers – all constantly trying to improve themselves and their knowledge. We also have a powerful and complex tool that is constantly being improved in FileMaker Pro. To stay on top of all the nifty new features requires a lot of work and more importantly how to utilize those new features – well the possibilities are endless.
Our FileMaker Development team leader, Steve Hearn, regularly holds a FileMaker day. This is a chance for the FileMaker development team to come together and discuss a new feature, process, opportunity or pitfall when developing in FileMaker Pro. Above all it is a learning experience for everyone involved. It is a win-win situation for everyone. The developers are constantly adding to their knowledge and our clients reap the benefits of our experience. If you follow our blogs (and I assume you do as you are reading this one) you can also benefit.
So whether you develop on your own or are part of a team – you can always share your knowledge with someone. You can even post it on our comments section or send us a post you would like us to use as a Guest Blog.
Let’s all progress and leave the retrograding to people who don’t know how to google “Improvement Quotations”
In the meantime – Happy FileMaking!
Carl Hughes
