PD Place Users – Here’s a tip for creating new in-services

Estimated Time To Read This: 2 – 3 minutes

After some time using PD Place, you’ll be quite familiar with the difference between a “course template” and an “in-service.” Course templates allow you to set up a title and description for what you are going to offer. In-services are specific offerings of a course, on a particular time and day.

To avoid duplication in your database (and to avoid confusion) you should have only one course template for each course you offer.

Here’s a fast and easy way to create a new in-service from an existing course. Use one of the search options on the In-services page to find your course. From the list of in-services, choose an old one and access the In-service Admin Portal.

If you go to Edit your existing in-service, you’ll find a Duplicate button.

This button will allow you to make a copy of your old in-service, so all you need to do is change the dates, and anything else that is updated in your new in-service, and you’re all set to go!

If you have questions about this, feel free to drop us a line at pdplace-support@coresolultions.ca and we’d be happy to help!
