Some of you may have heard of Scott Stratten before – he’s well-known in the marketing and social media world. If not, you can find his bio here. I promise, he’s worth getting to know.
As one of today’s most influential social marketers, with more than 60,000 followers on Twitter and over 60 million views of his clients’ viral videos, Scott has a lot to say, and I for one am happy to listen. In fact, I had the chance to when I attended Canada 3.0 earlier this year and heard him chastise (to put it nicely) a panel of “experts” for their outdated views on marketing and advertising.
Scott’s known for his UnMarketing theory, which he says is the way businesses should market themselves to engage and attract clients. Essentially, it’s “positioning yourself as a trusted expert in front of target markets, so when they have the need, they choose you.” It’s about being authentic and maintaining integrity for your company and business, while building long-term, two-way relationships with customers. No matter your business’ industry, Scott’s theory applies, and it’s something we take to heart at CoreSolutions. It’s our goal to not only be experts in software development, but in everything that happens before and after your project closes — the training, client satisfaction and follow-ups. The “beyond software” side of things. We always want to hear from you, and there are plenty of ways to connect with the CS team. Find us on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn, and let us know what we can do to make your experience with us even better. Comment on any of our blogs, and we’ll get back to you. We want to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly — it’s how we’ll improve and better serve you.
So, for the big news: Scott’s coming to London in November! (I’m excited, what can I say.) We’ve got a few CoreSolutions team members going to Scott’s event and I know each of us is looking forward to what he’ll bring to the table that evening, as part of his UnBook UnTour. Tickets sold out fast, but there’s a waitlist and I’d recommend joining it.
