Welcome to my first blog and our new and much improved web site. I have to admit this is new ground for me and you need to know right now that writing is not a skill that comes naturally to me. Not everyone is a natural born writer and for me, I have to work hard at it, the words don’t always come easily. Having said that I do enjoy writing and the best part is when I’m finished and reviewing the final piece. Now that I’ve been brutally honest let’s get on with the content.

I’d like to talk a little about why CoreSolutions decided to develop a new web site incorporating social media and why we feel it’s important to embrace social media tools such as Twitter, FaceBook and LinkedIn.

First and foremost, we want to improve communication with you, our customer or potential customer. We want to enable a two way dialogue between you and CoreSolutions. Using tools such as blogs, Twitter and Facebook we believe that we can achieve this goal and open up a two way mutually beneficial conversation between us. We want to hear your comments, hopefully they will all be positive but if not, that means we have not delivered on our promise to provide you the best possible service and we want to know about it. This is an opportunity for you to ask us questions and get answers quickly, to share your success stories with not just us but also with other customers and to share best practices and ideas thereby helping everyone in our on-line community.

Another reason was quite simply this; our old web site just didn’t cut it. It was not representative of the excellent work our staff do and it certainly did not encourage potential customers to want to work with us. It was out of date and did not provide the kind of information that our customers were looking for. By the way, I’d like to say thank you to all our customers who took part in the web survey a few months ago. We asked for your advice, comments and suggestions and this new web site incorporates what you were looking for.

Finally, it’s hard to pick up a magazine or surf the web without reading about social media and how companies are using it to better communicate with their customers. There is no doubt that the world is changing rapidly and if we don’t change with it we will be left behind in the dust wondering what happened.
Most importantly this new web site is ‘About You’ not ‘About Us’. Myself and the entire team at CoreSolutions are very excited and looking forward to the opportunities that will no doubt present themselves in the future so we can provide exceptional service to you that goes ‘Beyond the Software’.
